What happens during the session?
The Audio Sonic massager is a lightweight handheld instrument that is gently applied over any areas of tension or pain in the body.

It can be used as part of a massage treatment or on its own. I start on a very low setting, slowly increasing the intensity. It is a pleasant feeling and will feel like a light vibration on the area, similar to an electric toothbrush.

Audio Sonic massage therapy is used by many physiotherapists and healthcare professionals to relieve pain from a wide range of ailments, conditions and injuries, by stimulating the body’s natural healing processes. It is also ideal for soothing the aches associated with age.
Why Choose audio-sonic therapy?
When intrasonic sound waves reach the molecules, which make up the cells of human tissue, each molecule absorbs a small amount of energy and then passes the wave on to the next molecule. This ripple effect continues until all the waves’ energy has been absorbed. When a molecule is hit by a sound-wave it 'resonates'.

The resonance, of the molecule causes alternating compression and relaxation of the cell. It is, in effect, a form of massage at a cellular level deep within the tissue undergoing the treatment.

When the cell is compressed it loses some of its fluid, usually containing waste products and toxins. As the pressure relaxes fresh nutrients are drawn into the cell which starts the therapeutic healing process. Hormones within the tissue are also stimulated by this vibration effect and they will improve blood flow to the area for many hours.
Mechanical Massage
Mechanical massage produces a deeper effect in comparison to manual massage as it incorporates a mechanical massager (often referred to as G5). It has different heads which are used to mimic different massage techniques.

Massage with this type of appliance is usually used for much heavier work on large and bulky areas of the body. The massage head is driven to turn in gyratory motions, moving round and round, up and down and side to side with pressure, providing a deep massage. It gives an invigorating treatment stimulating the skin and muscles.

Some clients prefer this treatment as it is less personal that a manual massage. The invigorating effect is often preferred by male clients who require a deeper massage.

G5 Massage can be combined with Classical Massage, so that you get the best possible treatment.
