Aftercare
Client aftercare advice
A little guide to gain the most out of your treatment.

  • Try to drink plenty of water for up to 48 hours after your massage, to help with the removal of toxins.
  • Take time to rest after your treatment. Avoid strenuous activities for at least 24 hours. This will enable your body to heal and recuperate.
  • Avoid smoking, alcohol or any strong stimulants (which could include non-prescriptive drugs, tea & coffee) for a minimum of 12 hours after the treatment. Failure to adhere to these instructions could result in some dehydration and/or reintroducing toxins to the body.
  • Eat lighter meals only.
  • Aftercare advice and any exercises given are to improve your overall health & wellbeing. Prevention is always better than a cure. Once signs of improvement are recognised it is important to continue the advice given.

Reactions
Occasionally, after a teatment you may experience a reaction as the body begins to self heal its self-healing and detoxification process. These reactions may include:

  • frequent visits to the toilet
  • runny nose and/or cold
  • slight rash as the skin rebalances
  • headache, due to the detoxification process
  • perspiration - another way for the body to excrete waste
  • conditions which have been suppressed may flare up temporarily before they heal
  • you may experience deep sleep or difficulty sleeping and vivid dreams.
These reactions are only temporary and should clear within 24 to 48 hours. These are all positive signs that your body has responded to the treatment and is detoxifying and balancing itself.
